A revamped website provides easy to understand information to the public about the health risks of lead. Water system leaders may want to review the information found on epa.gov/lead and consider linking to their water utility website to educate their customers. The lead in drinking water page may be particularly helpful as the lead service line inventory process continues through November 1, 2027.
The site includes an engaging storymap to educate families about lead, as well as a pamphlet about children and lead that is available in 14 languages.
The updated website also includes resources for health care providers, teachers, contractors and others to quickly find critical information on how to prevent exposure to lead.
